Hide Icons from the Dock in OSX

dock_iconI love the way the dock handles your applications in OSX. I really do, it’s a nice way to look down and immediately know about 99% of the stuff running on your system. That said, there are a few things that really don’t belong there.

Mobile Development Overkill

Everything is a phone.  Everything is a phone.

Not all too long ago, Google released an update to the popular free email service which, among other things, updated the mailbox UI.  The common UI was removed in favor of a much more mobile centered one.  More icons, much less text.  For many users, the update was met with less than stellar reception.  The reason?  This UI update applied to all visitors, not just those from mobile devices.
